Victura uses artificial intelligence to help identify foods in photos and estimate nutrition information. Please read this disclaimer carefully.

1. Estimates, not facts

AI-generated meal analysis provides approximate calorie, macro, and portion estimates based on visible content in your photo and optional notes you provide. Results may be wrong due to lighting, angles, hidden ingredients, cooking methods, restaurant preparation, or model limitations.

Do not rely on AI outputs for medical decisions, allergy safety, insulin dosing, or clinical nutrition planning without verification.

2. How Victura uses AI (actual implementation)

As implemented in our product:

  • Primary provider: Google Gemini processes meal images and structured prompts on our servers.
  • Fallback provider: If Gemini is unavailable, an OpenAI-compatible provider (Kimi) may process the same class of requests.
  • Context sent with images: Non-email profile context such as diet type, goals, restrictions, and macro targets may be included to improve relevance. See our Privacy Policy.
  • No public model training: We use AI outputs to operate the Service; we do not describe using your photos to train public foundation models.

When API keys are absent (development or test environments), stub responses may be returned without calling external AI.

3. Coaching and insights

Text coaching, daily tips, and behavioral insights may be generated or ranked using automated systems. These messages are informational and motivational. They are not personalized medical advice.

4. Your responsibility

You should:

  • Review AI-detected foods and portions before logging.
  • Correct errors using in-app editing tools.
  • Consult qualified professionals for medical conditions, eating disorders, pregnancy, pediatric nutrition, or drug–nutrient interactions.

5. No guarantee

Victura does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any AI output.
